TSIRIBIHINA RIVER TOUR, EXPLORING TSINGY AND BAOBABS

It’s an adventure of 08 days starting from Antananarivo to Morondava like following:

Day 1: Arrival to Madagascar
Assistance on arrival and transfer to Antananarivo town. According to the arrival time, we propose for you a few visit of Antananarivo.

- Accomodation to Relais de la haute ville hotel.

Day 2: Antananarivo - Antsirabe - Miandrivazo
Departure by private car to start the Tsiribihina river tour and first step to Antsirabe town. We cross a landscape of rice field, hills, reforestations and villages along the national 7 which has each celebrity.

- Lunch to Antsirabe.

In the afternoon, we take national road 34 to rally Miandrivazo, starting point of Tsiribihina river trip by canoe. A road of 200km let us test the tropical feeling where the temperature is usually up 25°C. On arrival, we can make a few tour of Miandrivazo.

- Accomodation to Princesse Tsiribihina hotel.

Day 3: Tsiribihina river tour by canoe.
First of all, we perform registration fees to the town office and the police of Miandrivazo. We proceed after for the installation of the luggage to the boat and start Tsiribihina river trip.
We pursue the beautiful panorama along Tsiribihina River with varieties of birds like kingfisher, Cuckoo and Coucal of Madagascar. More chameleons are hidden under reeds along the river.

Day 4: Second day of Tsiribihina River tour and discover of its wildlife

Early in the morning, we continue the adventure and primary forest appear on both sides of the Tsiribihina River. We can meet there varieties of lemurs such us sifaka and various birdlife namely egrets, raven, black kite...
       - Break lunch at Nosy Ampela waterfall and its natural swimming pool
Then we pass through the first gorge of Tsiribihina: : cliffs and clay, steep over 20m on both sides of the river open for us natural environment. Songs of parrots plunges us into nature feeling.
        - Overnight under tents and "kabosy" concert with villagers around fire camp.

Day 5: Tsiribihina - Antsiraraka.
Last day on pirogue to Tsiribihina River: Instead of the primary forest replaces secondary forest and then; reborn behind the Betsiriry mountain. Passage into the second gorge: Heron, hump duck and may be crocodiles ... will keep you company during this day. You will meet also the first BAOBAB of Menabe there.
After Tsiribihina River tour, we make a transfer by zebu cart to join Antsiraraka village. End of Tsiribihina river tour by canoe and starting of Tsingy tour on 4wd car.

- Accomodation to Sakalava bungalow.

Day 6: Antsiraraka - Belo Tsiribihina - Bekopaka.
Our initial ride on 4wd drive us directly to Belo / Tsiribihina on a sandy track for 02 hours.

- Passage of Tsiribihina River by ferry boat (45 minutes).
- Lunch to Belo / Tsiribihina village.

After lunch we follow 4wd caravan to join Tsingy village called Bekopaka. The strike out and skids to the mud will surely surprise you and make a few discomfort.

- Accomodation to Tanankoay hotel.

Day 7: Visit of National Park Tsingy de Bemaraha.
Early in the morning, we leave the village with the local guide to begin the tour to Tsingy.
National Park Tsingy de Bemaraha:
Identified as one of the world heritage by UNESCO since 1990, Tsingy of Bemaraha is both the result and the factors of a typical environment. These karst topography doesn’t exists nowhere in the world. Stretching along 150.000km² these limestone reliefs are among the largest sites to Madagascar and one of most visited. About 90 varieties of birds and 8 species of reptiles, 10 kinds of Lemurs live in this park. Big and small Tsingy will probably please you and you will never forget it.

- Overnight to Tanankoay hotel.

DAY 8: Bekopaka - Morondava via Baobabs.
First of all, we get back the road to Belo / Tsiribihina.

- Lunch to Belo / Tsiribihina.

Then, we cross Tsiribihina River by ferry boat; you should make a beautiful photo shoot there.
We continue our trip to Morondava passing through baobabs. 05 hours on track and we can appreciate successively the holy baobab, the loving baobab and the avenue of baobab on sunset that make the celebrity of the west of Madagascar.
Our tours ends on the shores of the Mozambique Channel at Morondava.
