DEEP SOUTH OF MADAGASCAR BY THE SEASIDE ROAD FROM TULEAR TO FORT DAUPHIN
Adventures tour through seaside track to the deep south of Madagascar form Tulear to Fort Dauphin. This lonely tour leads you over classic road for 05 days trip.

Day 1: Tulear - Anakao
First, we proceed by boat transfer to Anakao, then accommodation to Longo Vezo hotel for 2 nights: charming building with a beautiful panorama to the sea.

Day 2: Anakao
Excursion by sailing boat to Nosy Ve Island for 30 minutes. We can make there snorkeling or strolling slowly to clear water. The island is also habitation of most endemic birds. In the afternoon, we get back navigation to Anakao. The appointment with the 4wd car will be for this evening.
Day 3: Anakao - Ambola – Itampolo
We drive along the beautiful sandy track through Beheloka for Ambola destination. Before reaching Ambola we turn to Tsimanampetsotsa Lake, classified as a national park: the tour in this park will be divided in 3 steps: 1st point at the lake where we can observe flamingos, 2nd walking in a dry forest (baobabs), and 3rd point beautiful panoramic view of the lake. After the visit, we get back the road to Ambola and Itampolo.

Day 3: Itampolo - Lavanono
One day on path by 4wd car to rally Lavanono village. Perhaps, we will arrive to Lavanono after 6:30 hours of track. The road will be decorated by Mahafaly tombs which announce our entry into the south; country of Androy tribe. We cross the dry lake Linta, and after 15 kms by a stony track framed by cactus, we will arrive to Lavanono.

Day 4: Lavanono - (Cap Sainte Marie) - Berenty
Road direction to Tsihombe and Ambovombe where we will join tarred road. We can have lunch at a local restaurant. This drive is fascinating, passing to a spiny forest, baobabs, several species of Alluaudia (octopus trees), Pachypodium, and Euphorbia. We continue the trip for 2 hours until Berenty reserve.

Day 5: Berenty - Fort Dauphin
In the morning we organize the visit of Berenty Reserve. Berenty is home to six species of lemur and the largest colony of Madagascar fruit bats in southern. The ring-tailed lemurs and ‘dancing’ Verreaux sifakas has turned this small protected area into one of the Madagascar’s most visit reserves. We can explore several trails and visit an arboretum and spiny forest preserve that is full of life: tortoises, sportive lemurs, Scop’s owls, hissing cockroaches, aloes and bats. We can also extend visit to the ethnological museum that depicts the life of the local tribe, the Antandroy, and features a re-constructed Antandroy village. In the afternoon, we prolong our tour and arrive to Fort Dauphin town.
