The Makay massif

The Makay massif, a new non explored corner was formed from sandstone. It was in 2012 that we achieved our first tours. We entered by the North, from Malaimbandy by 4wd car until Mandrognarivo and begun the trekking for two days to arrive to Tsivoko. We visited this massif from this small village, then continued our journey until Beroroha and to Tuléar. This trip is practicable from April until mid-December.

Day 01: ANTANANARIVO - ANTSIRABE - MALAIMBANDY
- Night to a lodge to Malaimbandy.

Day 02: MALAIMBANDY - MANDROGNARIVO
- Night in bivouac on the bank of the river.

Day 03: MANDROGNARIVO - TANAMARY
- Night in bivouac to the bank.

Day 04: TANAMARY - TSIVOKO
- Night in bivouac to the bank of the river.

Day 05: TSIVOKO - MASSIF OF THE MAKAY
- Night in bivouac to the bank not far from the massif in the forest.

Day 06: STILL IN THE MASSIF
- Night in bivouac to the bank enlivened by screams of the nocturnal lemurs.

Day 07: MASSIF OF THE MAKAY - TSIVOKO - POINT OF BIVOUAC
- Night to the bank.

Day 08: POINT OF BIVOUAC - AMBATOVORY
- Night in bivouac to the bank.

Day 09: AMBATOVORY - TANAMBAO - ANKAZOMENA
- Night in bivouac on the bank.

Day 1O: ANKAZOMENA - BEROROHA / BEMANA
- Night in bivouac

Day 11: BEROROHA (BEMANA) - RANOHIRA
- Night to the hotel.

Day 12: STILL RANOHIRA
- Night to the hotel.

Day 13: RANOHIRA - TULEAR - IFATY
- Night to the hotel.

Day 14: STILL IN IFATY
- Night to the hotel.

Day 15: IFATY - TULEAR - ANTANANARIVO
- Night to the hotel
